Sensitivity to Sensor Geometry
The aim of this section was to change the location and number of sensors, and interpret effects of these changes on accuracy of the source localization. These calculations were for one value of the standard deviation of noise, and for one shooter.
Figure below shows the location of the six sensors and shooter used in the Matlab muzzle blast model. The location of these sensors was selected based on existing research, showing that this geometry leads to a favorable localization performance for the muzzle blast model [3].
